Is the 1 AM Fury vs Joshua Ring Walk Confirmed?
Not fully. Millennium Stadium plc applied to Cardiff Council to vary the Principality Stadium premises licence for this one night. The request extends boxing, music, late-night refreshment and alcohol sales until 3 AM, with the stadium open until 3:30 AM.
A licence change must be advertised for 28 days. If nobody raises a formal objection, the council must grant it. If objections are made, a council hearing decides. We will update this page as soon as there is a decision.
Why Does Fury vs Joshua Start So Late in the UK?
The timing is built for a global Netflix audience. A 1 AM UK ring walk lands at 8 PM on the US East Coast, which is prime time on a Friday night. Promoters originally looked at Madison Square Garden in New York before choosing Cardiff, and the late start keeps the American audience on board.
How Long Will the Fight Last?
Fury vs Joshua is scheduled for 12 three-minute rounds with one-minute breaks, so a fight that goes the distance lasts about 47 minutes. Add ring walks, introductions and the decision, and a full-distance fight should finish around 2 AM UK time, or 9 PM ET. A knockout would end it sooner.
