| Last fight | W RTD 7 vs Mariusz Wach (July 2026) | W TKO 2 vs Kristian Prenga (July 2026) |
Fury has the height, reach and ring experience. Joshua has the power: 27 of his 30 wins came by knockout. That sets up a simple test. A long, tactical fight suits Fury’s jab and clinch. An early war suits Joshua’s right hand.
Both won twice on the way here. Fury outpointed Arslanbek Makhmudov in April and stopped Mariusz Wach in July. Joshua knocked out Jake Paul in December 2025, then got up from two first-round knockdowns to stop Kristian Prenga in July. Those knockdowns matter: Fury is far more skilled than Prenga at landing the counter that drops a man.

What Title Is on the Line in Fury vs Joshua?
The vacant WBA “Super” heavyweight title is on the line. Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed the WBA sanctioned the bout. The winner becomes a three-time heavyweight world champion.
The decision is disputed. Murat Gassiev holds the WBA “regular” title after knocking out Kubrat Pulev in December 2025 and beating Peter Kadiru in July. When Oleksandr Usyk vacated his belts in June, many expected Gassiev to become the full champion. His team has formally objected, and Gassiev wants a mandatory shot at the Fury vs Joshua winner.
Fury vs Joshua Prediction and Odds
Fury is the bookmakers’ favourite at around 1.50 (8/15), with Joshua around 2.55 (6/4). That gives Fury roughly a 64% chance. The market rates a stoppage as more likely than a decision, which tells you how much respect both men’s power still carries at 37 and 38.
| Fury’s edge | Joshua’s edge |
|---|---|
| Three inches taller with a longer reach | 27 knockouts in 30 wins |
| Footwork, feints and stance switches | Four stoppages in his last five fights |
| Only losses came on points to Usyk | Fury has been dropped by Wilder and Ngannou |
| More experience over 12 rounds | Stopped Ngannou in two rounds; Fury needed a split decision |
